    Metoprolol heart block

Beta-blockers, verapamil, and diltiazem are considered a cause of AV block for which pacemaker implantation is not indicated. However, it is not known if such patients can expect a benign course after discontinuation of the culprit medication. Consecutive patients with II or III degree AV block not related to acute myocardial infarction, digitalis toxicity, or vasovagal syncope were studied. The level of AV block (AV-nodal or infranodal) was defined by electrocardiographic criteria. The cause and effect relation between AV block and drugs was defined according to the response to drug discontinuation. Of 169 patients with AV block, 92 (54%) were receiving beta-blockers and/or verapamil or diltiazem. Patients receiving medications had similar clinical and electrocardiographic characteristics with patients who had AV block in the absence of drugs. Bisoprolol, carvedilol, and sustained-release metoprolol succinate are agents which block beta-adrenergic receptors, thereby decreasing the rate and force of heart contractions, and reducing blood pressure. Over time beta-blockers improve the heart’s pumping ability. Y (Yes) There is documentation of a reason for not prescribing bisoprolol, carvedilol, or sustained-release metoprolol succinate for LVSD in the outpatient setting. N (No) There is no documentation of a reason for not prescribing bisoprolol, carvedilol, or sustained-release metoprolol succinate for LVSD in the outpatient setting, or unable to determine from medical record documentation.

I've never noticed any warts or genital sores, & He "Claims" his dermatologist prescribed it for his face! And I Do know he's said he's had achne problems in the past. You can have spots of herpes on your face, or really anywhere. Start taking some Lysine, an amino acid supplement and ask the pharmacist about that too. I think I May have seen some sort of dry "sore-type-things" on his cheek or jaw-line, but would this even be a possible excuse for a Valtrex prescription? My ex had sores above his lip and up his nose, he took it and i did too and i never got it. The only things I have ever found it to be prescribed for it are in the herpes family, shingles, chicken pox, cold sores and genital sores. I am sorry, but no doctor would prescribe valtrex for acne. I go to school for pharmacy and the only off label treatments due to valtrex include shingles, chicken pox,and the main thing which is herpes but never acne! I recently found out he's not only been Non-Stop compulsively Lying to me about Anything & Everything, but he has been cheating on me with his "Ex" --Who has told me She was given an entirely Different excuse for his prescription. An real dermatologists would of prescribed something basic, why out of the hundreds of things would the dermatologist prescribe herpe medicine for acne? He finally admitted that it is for "Dermatological Herpes outbreaks on his Face" but has not had an outbreak for 2 years & so its "not contagious." Either way, I'm done with him & his "Issues." I'm just glad I got out before I caught something from him. Thank you for your input & insight on the subject... Other Reasons to Prescribe Valtrex - Herpes Home Page Off-Label Uses.
